Marilyn Taylor is a native of South Carolina. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of South Carolina receiving a BA and later returned back to school and earned a Masters. After a long stint in corporate America, Marilyn decided to pursue her dream of becoming an entrepreneur. After much prayer, research and trepidation, Marilyn and her husband Ricky opened Shoe Fixation Shoe Salon in 2006.
Marilyn’s Fashion Philosophy
“A popular humorist once said “It is better to look good than to feel good. Well it’s my opinion that you feel your best when you look your best. With this as my personal style philosophy I have set out to create a boutique that strives to bring out the best in each of our clients. We don’t necessarily try to change your style but seek to expand and explore ways to enhance that which makes each of us unique. It brings such joy when I can help clients bring together the right shoes or accessories to top off that perfect outfit. That’s my vision and that’s my reason for creating Shoe Fixation. “
Giving Back
Shoe Fixation places a premium on being a good corporate citizen by working to enrich the communities in which we live and work. It’s not uncommon for Shoe Fixation or its employees to participate in fundraisers or to volunteer their time to community causes. Shoe Fixation is a business with a conscience, a business that cares. We actively support various women’s causes such as Sistercare, homeless organizations, the battle against breast cancer & Sole 4 Sole giving over $20,000 worth of merchandise to these charities. Giving back to our community is a necessary and fundamental part of the work we do everyday.
